The End of AS Level Examinations

Hey everyone!

I'm back, and after quite a long absence too if I do say so myself. I had my last exam today: Physics P1. It's basically an MCQ paper. I wasn't feeling very well today but the exam managed to go well Alhamdulillah.

Anyway, now that the summer vacation has officially started I can carry out all the plans that I've made. I intend to buy loads of books (and read them of course) I'm also going to be preparing for A2 as well as various entrance exams and tests. On top of that, I've had a random spark of creativity and I've decided to try out my skills as a seamstress by making one of these gorgeous Gothic Lolita dresses. They're extremely complicated to make and the beauty of the entire dress depends upon the puffiness of the skirt which requires a decent petticoat. And from what I
have read so far on the internet, they take a considerable time to make.

I suppose I should mention here that the only fancy dresses I've ever made have been for Barbie dolls and even that was years ago. My mom is a little skeptical about this venture of mine but I'm really eager to try. At the very least, I'll end up learning something.

So basically, I've got some busy months ahead. I hope I manage to use this time constructively. I need to study a lot too as the following academic year will practically affect my whole future professional life so wish me luck.

Read them. Yeaaaaaah... I mean, of course you will. Honestly. I know you.
Oh and about the dress? Please don't waste any materials. Please. For the, uh, 'greater common good', you know? Someone could use that black thing to make a curtain and block out annoying rays of sunlight.

This is like my google account. No, I will not make my own blog. Tests are kinda sorta (okay maybe) more (...) important. I think. I should keep telling myself that so I don't get distracted.

Okay. Don't make a blog yet but maybe after you're done with the entry test? =) Lol. I haven't bought the materials yet but don't worry, I won't waste any.

Assalaam-u-alaikum Hnia,

Congratualtions on finishing you AS Level exams and best of Luck with your up coming year. Do you have any particular university or degree that you want to do after your A Levels?

I really admire your courage to make one of those beautiful gothic dresses. I'm pretty sure it will be gorgeous Inshallah. All it requires is a bit of creativity and lots of perseverance. Don't give up if something goes wrong, trust me I know (I use to make little dresses for my Barbie dolls too).

I'm looking forward to reading updates on your progress.

Walaikum Assalam Nida,

Thank you for your well wishes. Yes, I plan on doing Medical, as they say here in Pakistan, InshAllah. I've also taken Maths in my A Levels so I am going to apply to a few Engineering Universities too, just to be on the safe side.

Lol. Actually, I've pretty much chickened out of the dress making. I've been so busy lately, I've hardly had time to read. I still do plan on making the dress sometime , even it is a few months from now. =P Meanwhile, I am gathering information. That's hard enough as it is as there are very few tutorials available on the internet. Thank you for the encouragement though. I will definitely let you know as soon as I make any progress. =)

You're becoming a doctor, right? How do you find the studies? Are they really hard?
